Your stay at Churchill House is accompanied by spectacular far-reaching views, the award-winning pub The Chequers is on your doorstep and Cotswold highlights are just a few minutes away. It offers everything you need for a family gathering or group of friends and their pets looking to get together. Long lingering meals at the dining table have a backdrop of the rolling Cotswold hills and you can retire to a drawing room warmed by a roaring open fire. Sculptures add interest in the gardens and you will cherish morning strolls with the dogs through the arboretum. Plan days out to Bourton-on-the-Water and Stow-on-the-Wold, visit Chipping Norton and shop at Daylesford Organic before heading back to Churchill House for dinner.

We had a wonderful stay at Churchill House. The property is perfectly located for exploring the Cotswolds, and the nearby Chequers pub, which is within walking distance, is an excellent place to enjoy a meal or drink, with friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere.

Our host, Tom, was very organised and sent comprehensive information before our arrival, including helpful details about the house, local area, and everything we needed for our stay.

The setting is incredibly peaceful and tranquil, with a magnificent garden and arboretum that provided plenty of space for our four children to enjoy. During our stay, Tom spent some time tending to the garden on the first day, and the gardener visited on the second. While we completely appreciate the care taken to maintain such beautiful grounds, we would have preferred a little more privacy during our stay.

The house is very well equipped, and the beds were exceptionally comfortable, making for a relaxing visit. Tom also had the foresight to arrange fans for each room due to the current heatwave, which was much appreciated. Guests should be aware that the home has a charming lived-in feel, reflecting that it is a much-loved family home rather than a dedicated holiday rental. It is also worth noting that the bathrooms have bathtubs only, with no showers, which may be something future guests wish to consider depending on their preferences.

Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend Churchill House to anyone looking for a peaceful base from which to explore the beautiful Cotswolds.
