A beautiful, spacious house in a stunning location. The area was peaceful but in close proximity to many attractions. We would highly recommend.

The location is 10/10 right in the heart of Lower Slaughter. It’s walkable to a restaurant, beautiful scenery, and a little coffee shop. The yard is absolutely huge and lots of outdoor seating. My two main issues are the ants in the kitchen and the mold in the bedroom with the two twin beds by the windows and in the bathroom shower. Had I known I wouldn’t have put my kids in that bedroom to sleep. We brought our kids and couldn’t prep or keep any food in the kitchen because of the ants. The owner was very responsive and told us where he kept the ant bait, but I didn’t want to put out ant bait myself. The housekeeper came over (I think, didn’t get confirmation) to try and take care of the ants, but it didn’t work. We didn’t see ants other than in the kitchen and I think it’s due to the countertops. The grout is very dirty (black) and there is probably embedded food in the grout which attracts them. With some minor updates to this place, we would 100% stay here again.

We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed the property's central location in the heart of Lower Slaughter, the spacious garden, outdoor seating, and the nearby restaurant, coffee shop, and beautiful surroundings. We are, however, sorry to learn about your concerns during your stay. Following the housekeeper's visit to the property, they carried out a thorough inspection but were unfortunately unable to find any evidence of ants in the kitchen or elsewhere within the property. We would also like to clarify that the grout surrounding the kitchen worktops is intentionally black in colour and has been since the kitchen was installed. It is not discoloured due to dirt or food residue, and therefore would not constitute a source of attraction for ants. We also take comments regarding cleanliness and maintenance very seriously. Your observations concerning the bedroom and bathroom have been noted and will be reviewed as part of our ongoing maintenance programme to ensure the property continues to meet the high standards we strive to provide. We genuinely appreciate your positive comments about the property itself and are pleased to hear that, with a few improvements, you would consider staying with us again. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you and your family back in the future.

as outlined the property is large both internally and externally and would be ideal for a summer holiday for a large family

facilities within the property are good with no issues to report

the one issue we had was that on arrival Saturday afternoon the property was very cold which aligned with the heating set up which wasn't going to get the temperature up to an acceptable level for mid March - having adjusted that it took until Monday morning to get to a satisfactory solution which based on the cost for the week was disappointing.

We stayed for Christmas and the house was perfect, plenty of space and had most things we needed.
The garden was amazing for our dog and secure.
The only little niggle (which wasn’t really a problem) was that the double bedroom to the right of the house seems to have a problem with ladybugs coming in through the window frames. Other than that we can’t fault this house at all.

The house was beautiful and spacious, beds very comfortable and loved the electric blankets. Plentiful off road parking and great base for exploring the Cotswolds. We had a very nice lunch at the local pub, food delicious.the gardens and outside areas were fabulous but obviously better in the summer time. We would definitely return if in the Cotswolds again.

My family and I had a most pleasant stay at the Arlington House. Upon our arrival, a nice bouquet of flowers along with tea, milk and sugar were waiting in the kitchen. The house is beautiful with nice furnishings and has a lovely garden where our two smaller ones aged 8 & 11 had a lot of fun running around. The bedrooms are large with comfortable beds. I would recommend it to anyone visiting the Cotswolds.

We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful house. The village is one of the nicest we have ever seen and well located to explore the cotswolds. The house itself is very well equipped, clean and has loads of space. Perfect in every way !
