Barndown is a 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom, 19th Century cottage in the heart of Cotswold walking country. Surrounded by farmland, on a quiet country road, Barndown is in the ancient village of Weston Subedge in walking distance of a popular pub and just five minutes’ drive from Chipping Campden - one of the Cotswolds’ most charming towns. Barndown’s private garden and patio with BBQ, plus off-road parking for 2 to 3 cars, provides a perfect retreat for walkers and families exploring the Cotswold Way, Monarch’s Way and Heart of England footpaths, and the wider Cotswolds.

the place and the house is like the information on the website
very clean, nice location,
The 4 for comfort and condition is about the single glass on the windows. In wintertime it will be cold and much condensation on the windows
maybe a little tip : give some better information about the litter who has to seperate
for British people probably evident, but for other people not so : what waste in wich bag and where are those bags
sorry if we made a mistake

We were tempted to leave on arriving at this tired and not very clean cottage.
However, after cleaning all surfaces and kitchen and bathroom floor, we felt better (approximately 2 hours).
Very grateful for the dishwasher providing clean crockery and cutlery.
Bedding was clean, too.
Shower worked well and water was hot.
We were regularly removing woodlouse wanderers.
Since £100 is listed as the cleaning fee, we had expected it to look and smell clean.
Only place we have ever stayed without any sort of welcome pack, not even milk.
Cottage well situated with decent parking space, so suited us well.

A wonderful place to stay full of charm. We enjoyed the view of fields out of the windows and the sounds of birds and sheep close by. Thank you so much

Stayed for 4 days in Barndown Cottage, with all you need for a short break, picturesque setting in lovely village, local pub restaurant The Seagrave is just a short walk away with good food. Tourist attractions within easy reach, ideal base to explore the area. Kiftsgate Court gardens are a must, would definitely recommend.

We had a lovely stay at Barndown. Very well situated, cosy, and equipped with everything we needed. The information booklet gave plenty of ideas about places to visit.

Charming cottage in lovely location with great hiking routes to nearby town. The Host was very helpful and welcoming. Cottage was comfortable and easy accessible. Walking distance from local pub as well. Shame we only stayed for 2 nights.

My stay at Barndown was just too short. I felt relaxed and safe wishing I could’ve stayed longer. I appreciated the recent updates to the kitchen and bathroom still keeping the charm of this old farm cottage. I could see that there are continued improvements in progress. The gentle mooing cows were an added bonus. The owner stopped by later in the day to greet me to see if anything was needed. I felt so grateful to have found this unique place to stay.

An excellent property for our stay. Great situation, and characterful - only shame that the original name had not been retained.
Comfortable, very nicely presented, quiet and secure. Great walking around, much directly out of the property.

After the initial disappointment of finding many parts of kitchen and bathroom unclean, we felt the property was much smaller and poorly equipped compared to your publicity and photos. However, the location is great and it is very quiet which is often hard to find. So, very basic and tired feeling decor but a I can imagine it's perfect for a small family.

A cosy cottage just off the main road to Chipping Camden or Broadway set beside a field of sheep. A very peaceful break with walks from your doorstep. The local pub has sadly closed but we found a wide variety of pubs whilst touring the area.
The beds were extremely comfortable and the living room was very cosy for evening chill time. Many thanks.

Barnwood cottage was the ideal place to stay while I attended day one of the March 2020 Cheltenham National Hunt Horse Racing Festival and then 2 days visiting friends in Gloucestershire. I would thoroughly recommend it and hope to return again, to what for me was a 'bolt hole' of perfection!
