This was our second visit this year, for a week this time, and fulfilled all our expectations. There is plenty to do in the local area, even in November, and at last we managed to visit the Barley Mow across the road. A very enjoyable stay. Thanks to Joan and crew.
This charming and excellently appointed cottage in the rural village of Kirk Ireton was the perfect base for exploration of this part of the Peak District. The decor and furnishings were contemporary but with a unique custom made traditional feel, we were very comfortable. The master bed was a major design statement being a pretty large and superbly crafted homage to a four poster but with a robust contemporary twist. Not to be missed!
