The apartment was modern, clean, spacious and remarkably well appointed, and contributed to a perfect stay in Salthill. The welcome pack of tea/coffee/milk/water and a fabulous apple tart was a really lovely touch. We were lucky enough to have great weather in the mornings and we were able to have breakfast on the balcony, which was a great way to start the day. I cannot fault the apartment and would recommend it highly.
The lodge is wonderful. Very cosy, complete cooking facilities, wash machine, stove, sauna.
The host family was very warm, kind and helpful. They told is a lot about the environment and history. We stayed her for three nights, but that was to short to do and see everything we wanted.
We enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It is like a picture on a postcard! I was travelling with 3 young children so it was like a home from home for us. To have a nice safe and enclosed back garden was like heaven!!! We didn't get to sight see much as was at a family funeral but definitely will return soon and would love to stay here again! The children also loved the home made buns!!!! They couldn't believe it as they are their favourite treat! Shirley and her husband were very hospitable and were there if we needed anything. We would highly recommend this cottage! Hope to visit again soon.
Nice house, good location, great for kids.
Main improvement I would suggest is fence off the back garden to allow kids run around in enclosed environment.
Every mod con you could ask for was available and nice touch with complementary hand cleansers in all bathrooms.
Would recommend this house to families.
Quaint picture card thatched Cottage in lovely Meath Co countryside, with pretty gardens.
Perfectly located for trips to Dublin, being just a 30 min drive away.
Unfortunately, whilst linens and bathrooms were clean, the cottage was let down by the poor overall standard of cleanliness.
Thick coating of dust on nearly every surface plus most of the cooking pots/pans/utensils were dirty and unusable.
The sun room's roof leaked. The owners had left a couple of bowls on the desk to catch most of the rainwater.
The cottage has good facilities (2 x wood fires, dishwasher, washing machine, ...more
