16 of us stayed in 3 cottages. We loved our stay very much. Certainly, having wonderful weather helped, but even without that it was a beautiful place to stay and the whole family agreed with this. We had family from France and Switzerland as well as England and they all thought Kingham a beautiful place. The cottages were extremely comfortable and well equipped and a lot of thought had gone into the accommodation. Exceptional accommodation in the perfect place for us. Fabulous setting. Berry Pen is an ideal base for entertaining and exploring the area. Very comfortable and clean. Open plan living space is a triumph of light and space - even on the most overcast of days! Our teenage children say their stay was "Really, really, really nice" (praise indeed). They were virtually sitting tenants at the pool. Would we go back there again? In a heartbeat!
We have visited Lodge Cottage a number of times and find it very charming with its own private garden. In heated indoor pool is magnificent with views to the garden. The whole setting is perfect. Kingham is a beautiful unspoilt village in one of the most beautiful parts of England. It has a calm atmosphere, wonderful restaurants of very high quality and the organic store at Daylesford is a gourmets delight. The garden of the Manor House is a sheer joy. In all a perfect retreat.
This place is beautiful. The nicest swimming pool I have every been in. Swimming pool is a perfect temperature and so clean that you don't get sore eyes or smell of chlorine. The only downside of The Loft is that it is above the warm swimming pool and we baked every night making sleep for children and adults difficult. The weather the week we were there was max 22 degrees C and much cooler and wet on other days. I would recommend the other cottages as they aren't so hot.
