One of the nicest cottages we’ve ever stayed in! Beautifully designed, decorated and equipped with a huge and incredibly comfortable bed. Set in its own grounds alongside West End Farm (which we were lucky enough to get a look at and which I’m currently saving up for!) There were koi carp and sheep and a beautiful ex racehorse plus the dogs were delighted with the secure dog paddock. Highly recommend!
We had an amazing week staying with friends at West End Farm Molly, Lewis Duncan and the team really went out of their way to ensure our stay went without a hitch. We very much hope to return
We loved our stay at The Knoll with our golden retriever and would definitely recommend it to others, especially as a dog friendly place. The views from the cottage were stunning and we couldn't fault the facilities. The hamper and freshly baked bread was a really nice touch when we arrived! It was also great to have some blankets to put on the sofa to be able to cuddle up with our dog in the evening which not many properties allow. We stayed here for a hen do with 16 ladies and it was absolutely perfect! The house had everything we needed and more – we honestly didn’t need to leave once. We booked all our activities to take place in the property, which made it so easy and stress-free. The whole place was spotless, and the beds were massive and super comfy. The space was ideal for a big group, really well set up for a celebration. Couldn’t recommend it enough and would definitely come back!

We really enjoyed our stay at cowslip retreat. The accommodation had everything we needed, even laundry facilities. Having a small enclosed garden with beautiful views over the hills was the highlight of this retreat and the dog enjoyed this too!
The cottage was in a lovely village location with stunning views from the spacious balcony at the rear of the house. The cottage was immaculately furnished and very well equipped to make us feel right at home. Plenty of parking with the great addition of an EV charger. Lovely places to visit very close by included Whitby, Sandsend, Robin Hood’s Bay, Runswick Bay & Staithes. The owner was always on hand for any queries we had. We had a fabulous stay and would love to return. Thanks for having us!

We had a wonderful weekend trip (6 adults) at the Piggery. A lovely cosy and comfortable place to stay in a great location for lots of visits and days out. The cottage is well thought out with almost everything you could want whilst you are away and a lovely welcome pack (and fresh bread!). The beds are comfortable. The upper two bedrooms are a little tight on room to manouver around as the en-suites have been built into the bedrooms, but this is not a problem as long as anyone with mobility issues uses the downstairs rooms.
